Wood Art

2004 Dark Bay/Brown Mare

Artistic Art

Wood Art

currently has a treatment plate over one hoof for an old abscess and a steel shoe on the other to balance- she can go barefoot next cycle.

This mare is not for a beginner, she is very sweet but is confident in herself and needs a personality to match her. She does not believe that she is 16 and would thrive in a home that can give her a career allowing her to engage her intelligent mind.

Wood Art raced 35 times bringing in just clear of $241k  finishing 2nd in her last race under triple crown rider, Victor Espinoza. After retiring 10 years ago, Wood Art had 5 babies, who all raced in Louisiana. She stayed in this home for many years until her owners could no longer keep their retired horses and were forced to rehome them all.

Wood Art has not yet been assessed under saddle. She has an old set bow that does not limit her from pursuing a jumping career. Our plan if she does not find a home by summer is that she will be restarted under saddle in the direction of a trail mount where I believe she will excel as a leader with her confidence.

Thank you for your interest in adopting or fostering with NTWO. Please download a copy here and submit it to . Please indicate on your application if you are willing to take foster home placements.

There is space on the application to indicate the horse(s) you are interested in, if you are not sure which horse would best suit your needs, please share what you hope to do with the horse and our team can point you in the right direction. Adopters are encouraged to fill out an application as early in the process as possible to allow sufficient time to contact references. NTWO cannot place a hold on a horse. Adopters are encouraged to come to the farm and meet the horse(s) they are interested in. Adoptions without meeting the horse first will only be approved with extenuating circumstances.

We do our best to keep the horse listings as up to date as possible, but due to the volume of horses coming in, there is a delay. If you don't see anything yet that you think would suit you, please fill out an application so you can be notified first when a horse that would suits your needs arrives! Adopted horses will be tracked to ensure continued satisfactory care throughout their lives, resale is allowed.

Foster homes are required to have an approved Adoption Application on file.
