Last Start: 7/12/19 WARHORSE ALERT 59 starts: 7-7-7, $106,587 earned
Even with this high number of starts in Louisiana claiming races, Rabbit is retired with no unsoundnesses or vices. He does have some “track jewelry,” an osselet Left Front that is outside of the joint and not limiting. (X-rays and vet report available on request)
Rabbit is very respectful in hand and with other horses. He thinks through scenarios that would overwhelm many horses freshly retired from the track. Due to the condition that his feet were in on arrivial, he will need front shoes for 2 or 3 cycles but should have no problem going barefoot. (hoof xrays from intake also available on request) He has not taken a misstep since arriving but has not yet been assessed under saddle and therefore is not yet recommended for a beginner. An intermediate could retrain him under guidance.
EDIT: His ears seem a bit too close together when he perks them up making them look similar to a bunny and since has been nicknamed “Rabbit.”
