Indy Ide

2013 Chestnut Gelding

A.P. Indy

Last Raced 6/4/19 making Indy eligible for rrp 2020 but not 2021.

Indy has no limitations and is retired sound from racing, however he carries some track jewelry from his 28 starts in bottom claiming races. He has a small digital tendon extensor (calcium buildup similar to an osselet) X-rays and vet report confirm that this is outside of the joint and cold so it will not bother nor limit him in the future. Indy has solid feet that have grown out almost completely since retiring, he is sound barefoot.

When he retired, Indy went through a very awkward phase while letting down where he had no muscling but lots of curves in all the wrong places, because of this we have given him some extra time before listing him. He has filled out beautifully and has shown us that he is ready to have a job and LOVE IT. When he is turned out he is almost always on the bottom of the pecking order but always manages to find a tough friend to protect him. He has no stall or field vices.

An amateur with a kind hand would easily excel with this guy but he is sensitive so a harsh handler will hurt his feelings and make him defensive. Indy is the absolute sweetest guy who is willing to give his all the first time you ask and really wants to learn. Contrary to his race record and belly, Indy is athletic and playful in the field allowing him to excel in rings like eventing or even western gaming.

I could go on and on about how wonderful Indy is, anyone who meets him immediately loves him. This all around superstar is one of a kind and needs someone who can let him prove that he is worth his weight in gold. He does have a roan spot but not enough to register ApHA.,
