2014 Dark Bay/Brown Mare

Custom for Carlos

I'm Wild

After 14 starts, Carlos is retired sound with clean legs and no injuries. She retired to our farm in the fall of 2019 when we decided to give her the winter off to just be a horse so that she could “let down.” At the time she was very tense through her muscles and her mind. Carlos has made a complete 180 and has started to enjoy her freedom. More recently she has started to fill out with more solid muscle that will allow her to thrive in her next career.

Carlos has no limitations. During summer of 2018, Carlos was pulled up and did not finish her race due to bleeding. She came back to win her very next race and had no problems after that race. There is no reason to believe this will affect her in the future either.

This diamond is currently in front shoes to help strengthen her hooves. Upon arrival she had thin soles and very run under heels. Hoof depth has increased dramatically with the help of out phenomenal farrier but front shoes will be worn until she is 100% ready to go barefoot. – our farrier can be in contact for seriously interested parties.

Carlos is UTD on vaccines, dentals, worming and farrier and is more than ready to join a family or a program that can get her started in her next career!  ** Carlos has not yet been evaluated under saddle and therefore is not recommended for a beginner horseman despite her respectful demeanor on the ground.
