Birdie on One

2009 Gray/Roan Gelding

ADOPTION FEE: $3000 with references

Personal Allure

Wekiva Springs

With only one start as a 3 yr old and two starts as a 4 yr old, Birdie is retired sound with clean legs and hoof maintenance. Due to mild laminitis, Birdie will require front shoes with added sole support until he grows enough depth to be able to go barefoot.

Since retiring from his racing career Birdie has been a trail horse, restarted in the ring and ponied green thoroughbreds coming off the track. While he is experienced and mannered, he will continue to need a knowledgeable rider who is comfortable with his big stride and classicly tough racehorse mouth. Birdie has not been restarted over fences but will be if still available this summer. He is ready to go any direction with a good foundation started already.
